Being this is by far the oldest movie I have ever seen, I had absolutely no idea what to expect. But I was surprised to say the least. Danny Rose is a manager for one of his close friends who is a performer, which in most cases would not be a problem. Everything is going smoothly, until a woman by the name of Tina comes into the picture and starts getting Danny into some trouble. But the catch is that Tina is Lou's (Dannys friend) mistress.
Overall I would have to say I actually did enjoy the movie. Usually I would not have liked a movie that really in my eyes, doesn't really fit into a category. But there was something about the main character "Danny" that drew me into the movie. It could have been that I have a friend that looks exactly like him but regardless his character had a way of keeping the audience interested. My biggest issue with the movie was the character that played Lou's mistress. She just seemed to grind my gears for some odd reason. It could have been her voice but regardless she in my opinion was the down side of the movie.

Overall, Maharshee, I appreciate the sentiments, and your willingness to be open to something new. However, in your responses, I need to see more than that. This response reads a bit too much like just an opinion of whether you liked or disliked the movie - that's not really the goal. Instead, you're supposed to try to pick the movie apart. You want to interpret what it appears to be trying to say, and how it's trying to say it. For example, you might have mentioned the black and white photography at the start of your post, and then talked about why the film was shot that way. There are a ton of angles to cover, and that's where you need to focus your energy. I recommend you read several classmates' blogs to see what they're doing. A lot of them will provide excellent examples of the kinds of things you should be focusing on in your own posts. You need to include visuals, detailed analysis, and references to the sources I provided on Blackboard, which is a requirement. Keep all these things in mind for next time!

Hi Maharshee! I'd like to start off by saying that I completely agree with the fact that this will be an interesting change of movies, not just for us, but the whole class as well. Also, I really enjoyed how you captured Woody Allen's presence, in which he does an unbelievable job playing himself as Danny Rose. Lastly, I don't completely agree with your opinion on Mia Farrow's role because it was necessary for her to act the way she did. In some ways, it brought out the character in Danny a little bit more.
